Health & Safety Office Induction AGCC

Health and Safety Office Induction Outline
This Office Induction course provides a thorough grounding for those at work in an office environment, focusing on the basic principles of workstation safety (DSE), manual handling, fire safety, and also the very real issues of accidents, driving at work, home-working, working at height, drugs, alcohol & substance misuse etc.

The level of detail is appropriate to an office environment, and the course assumes that there will be trained fire marshals present, therefore limiting the coverage of fire extinguisher use.

This one hour course provides employees with an awareness of the hazards that may face them day to day within their office based tasks and activities.

Outline...
As an employer or senior manager it may be tempting to exclude coverage of some of the issues such as work at height and manual handling as they can be perceived to be 'not office related'.

However the key is to cover these issues but to a level that is appropriate for the environment, for example; a person standing on a work chair is 'working at height'; a person unloading a delivery of office stationery may be manual handling.

It is important that as an employer you have provided information, instruction and training to a level that is suitable and sufficient for the level of risk.

Outline...
This training provides an outline of all of the areas an employer is expected to address including home workers and also the basic 'before use' visual inspection techniques required for anyone using equipment at work.

This online environment is simple to use, as well as cost effective, and provides a downloadable certificate upon completion of the course.

Managers are able to review progress of employees live and produce downloadable reports where necessary.
